Job Summary
We are searching for someone to join our dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking quality oral healthcare. Duties
- Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection control protocols.
- Take high-quality X-ray images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage electronic records on Eaglesoft efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and dental coding.
- Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow seamlessly throughout the day.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, and anatomy knowledge is not required but it is preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and coding for accurate record keeping is not required but it is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
