Job Description
· Performs 50 hour, 100 hour, annual and progressive inspections, maintenance and repairs of aircraft (scheduled maintenance).
· Research and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and regulatory requirements.
· Determine time life limits for aircraft components.
· Perform preventative maintenance and discrepancies (un-scheduled maintenance). Including correcting discrepancies, troubleshoot and repair inoperative schematics and troubleshooting procedures, and determine correct manufacturer part numbers for replacement of parts.
· Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and all UND Aerospace standard operating procedures.
· Reviews work orders, aircraft records and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
· Perform minor and major alternations and repairs as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Thorough working knowledge of all federal regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
· Work with staff of full and part-time aircraft technicians to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the FAR’s and to meet the high demands of the flight training department.
· Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers, co-workers and FAA agencies.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Drug and alcohol testing as required by UND Aerospace Anti-Drug Program.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to move and lift bulky or heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
· Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
· Meet the currency requirements of FAR Part 65.83.
· Prefer at least 2 years technical experience.
· Prefer Cessna single and Piper multiengine experience.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
