Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a pristine, welcoming environment for our residents and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall cleanliness and sanitation of residential spaces. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to creating a comfortable and hygienic environment that residents can enjoy every day.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to ensure a spotless environment.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures in accordance with health and safety standards to maintain hygiene.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
- Use cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Support outdoor work activities related to maintaining the cleanliness of outdoor areas associated with residential properties.
- Ensure all janitorial supplies are stocked and properly stored; operate cleaning machinery responsibly.
- Follow time management practices to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
Experience
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience using various cleaning equipment and detergents safely is essential.
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong client communication skills to understand needs and deliver outstanding service.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across different environments.
