Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated experienced Horse Handler and Barn Help. Part time position working a few weekday eves and a couple weekends a month.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling of horses, ensuring their well-being and safety while moving from daytime to night time positions, feeding and cleaning stalls and paddocks. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with horses in a peaceful environment that values animal welfare, teamwork, and hands-on experience. Your attention to detail will contribute to the health and happiness of our horses and the success of our farm.
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and lead horses, during daily routines to/from pastures.
- Monitor horse health and behavior, identifying signs of illness or distress promptly
- Assist with feeding horses, cats & chickens as well as cleaning stalls, small paddocks, pens
- Skills
- MUST have proven experience in horse handling. Must be open to learning the method of handling used on our farm.
