Frovium is a premium appliance service, repair, and installation company serving mid-to-high-end residential and commercial properties throughout Manhattan. We pride ourselves on technical excellence, rapid response, and white-glove professionalism. As we expand our team, we are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Refrigeration & Appliance Technician specializing in high-end systems.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mid-to-high-end residential and commercial appliances, with a heavy focus on refrigeration units and freezers.
Perform factory-certified installations and preventative maintenance on built-in units (including Sub-Zero, True, Miele, Liebherr, and Viking).
Handle sealed system repairs, compressor replacements, and EPA-regulated refrigerant management safely and efficiently.
Communicate professionally with clients, building managers, and co-op/condo staff while respecting high-end Manhattan properties.
Maintain accurate electronic records of service calls, parts ordered, and work completed via our dispatching software.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on appliance repair experience, specifically with high-end refrigeration and built-in units.
Certification: EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I / Type II or Universal) is strictly required.
Skills: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, sealed systems, and modern digital control boards.
Logistics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to navigate Manhattan/NYC layout efficiently.
Soft Skills: Fluent or highly proficient in English; clean appearance, punctual, and professional communication skills.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (with optional or rotating weekend shifts if applicable)
Pay: $27.72 - $33.38 per hour
