Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food service management, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in both casual and fine dining settings, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS is highly desirable.
Duties
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, ensuring smooth shift management, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Oversee food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Handle inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting; ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Train and develop staff through ongoing training programs focused on food handling, service excellence, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food quality, presentation, and timely delivery to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment, including dining areas and kitchen spaces.
- Manage budgeting responsibilities, including labor costs, food costs, and overall financial performance.
- Lead initiatives for customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Oversee catering events, banquets, or bar services as needed to expand service offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector; supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary standards, and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS; cash handling experience essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Experience managing budgets, inventory control, and operational procedures in both casual dining and fine dining environments.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of catering operations or banquet management is a plus.
- Hospitality management background with strong organizational skills; previous hotel or bar experience is advantageous.
