Washington Trim Clinic is a medical weight loss clinic in the heart of Bellevue, serving patients from across the Eastside and greater Seattle area. The Role
We're hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to be the backbone of our daily clinic operations. This is a hybrid clinical and front-office role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of the full patient journey from the first phone call to the monthly progress check-in.
One thing to know up front: patient care comes first here. This is not a hospital setting, you won't be dealing with acutely ill patients. Our patients are generally healthy people on a weight loss journey with Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, and the clinical side of the role is straightforward. What sets our clinic apart (and what our five-star reviews are built on) is the warmth, attentiveness, and encouragement patients get at every visit. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working with people; the medications, we can teach you.
Clinical Duties
- Room patients, take vitals, and record height, weight, and health history
- Administer subcutaneous injections (GLP-1 medications) under physician supervision
- Perform 3D body composition scans and walk patients through their results
- Assist the physician and medical team during consultations and follow-up visits
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients on injection technique, medication storage, and what to expect between visits
Medication Management (we'll train you)
- Receive medication shipments, take stock, and keep accurate inventory
- Store medications properly (refrigeration and handling per protocol)
- Prepare and dispense take-home medications to patients
- Walk patients through how to store their medication at home, how to take it, and what to watch for
- Maintain exam rooms, manage clinical supplies, and follow infection-control protocols
Front Office Duties
- Greet and check in patients, creating a warm, welcoming first impression
- Reply to and reach out to interested patients and new leads via phone, SMS, and email; timely, friendly follow-up is a big part of how we grow
- Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and return voicemails promptly
- Schedule consultations and monthly follow-up appointments; manage the daily calendar
- Collect payments and keep patient records up to date
- Help keep the clinic running smoothly; inventory, supplies, and light administrative tasks
What We're Looking For
No experience necessary, we will train you. If you hold your certification and you're great with people, we'll teach you everything about the medications, the equipment, and our workflows.
Required:
- Active Washington State Medical Assistant–Certified (MA-C) credential
- Fluency in both English and Spanish as a significant portion of our patients are Spanish-speaking, and you'll provide care and patient education in both languages
- A patient-first mindset: warm, encouraging, and attentive , the kind of care our five-star reviews are written about
- Ability to administer subcutaneous injections confidently and safely (we'll help you build confidence if you're newly certified)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Reliability and attention to detail, patients depend on accurate dosing records and follow-ups
Nice to have (truly optional):
- Experience in an outpatient clinic, med spa, or weight loss / wellness setting
- Comfort with computers: EHR documentation, scheduling software, email
- Interest in nutrition, fitness, or preventive health
