About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Technician to join our growing team! This position will be based at a project site in Reserve, LA, where you will support operations and will be responsible for troubleshooting, wiring, start-up, commissioning and field service support. Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and panel layouts.
- Layout and assemble electrical control panels according to project drawings.
- Cut and install DIN rail, wireway, and panel components.
- Pull, route, and terminate wiring in panels and field installations.
- Install cable tray, conduit, and electrical supports as required.
- Perform panel modifications, including drilling, cutouts, and knockouts.
- Select and prepare the proper wire, ferrules, and terminals for each application.
- Print and install wire labels and equipment identification.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, panels, and field devices.
- Perform field wiring and terminations of panels, instruments, and equipment.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), startup, and commissioning activities.
- Participate in QA/QC inspections and complete required corrections.
- Follow project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including tools and materials.
- Receive materials, prepare panels for shipment, and assist with deliveries as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and help train new team members.
- Identify and communicate drawing discrepancies, quality concerns, and potential project issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years Electrical wiring experience required.
- Capable of lifting heavy materials when necessary and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, one-lines, panel layouts, schematics, etc.
- Ability to use basic tools (drills, saws, wire strippers, knock-outs, etc.)
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
- Experience with start-up and commissioning of automated equipment
- Experience with various sensors, transmitters, and flow meters
- Valid driver's license is required and must have reliable transportation
- Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Ability to apply HSE best practices and adhere to the RED Group and/or client safety programs, including, but not limited to PPE, LOTO, etc.
