Team Prime Time (TPT) is looking for passionate, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our team as After-School Program Counselors. Our counselors play an important role in creating meaningful after-school experiences where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Founded in 2001, Team Prime Time provides intervention programs for youth that combine academics, athletics, leadership, and the arts to help students develop confidence, purpose, and direction. Our goal is simple: create life-changing opportunities for young people every day after school.
As an ASP Counselor, you are more than a supervisor — you are a mentor, role model, and positive influence in the lives of students.
Position Overview
ASP Counselors work directly with middle school students in an after-school setting, leading enrichment and recreation activities, supporting academic success, and helping create a safe, welcoming, and engaging program environment.
This is a part-time, school-year position generally operating Monday–Friday afternoons between 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (schedule may vary based on school site needs, early dismissals, and program requirements).
What You’ll Do
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where students feel respected and supported.
- Build meaningful relationships with students through encouragement, mentorship, and consistent engagement.
- Lead and support enrichment activities, recreation, sports, arts, STEM, leadership, academic support, and other youth development activities.
- Actively supervise students and ensure safety throughout all program activities.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and respect.
- Prepare and facilitate engaging activities that align with Team Prime Time expectations.
- Encourage student participation, teamwork, confidence, and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with Site Directors, coworkers, school staff, parents, and students.
- Support daily program operations, including organization of supplies, activity spaces, and materials.
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Follow all Team Prime Time, school district, and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Required:
- Experience working with youth in a school, recreation, coaching, mentoring, education, or community-based setting preferred.
- Ability to actively supervise and engage students.
- Ability to complete required training and certifications.
Within 90 days of employment:
- CPR Certification
- TB Clearance
- Required Risk Management Training
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills
- Experience leading enrichment, sports, arts, STEM, or academic activities
