Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. The Custodian will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained for employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform commercial cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out industrial cleaning duties in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas by restocking supplies and disinfecting surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Support residential painting projects when required, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management professionally.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
