Allied Health Career Training is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our instructional team. This position focuses on teaching and supervising students in skills lab and clinical settings within our CNA program.

This role is ideal for an LPN with a strong long-term care background who enjoys mentoring others, supporting student success, and helping future caregivers build confidence and competence.
No prior teaching experience is required. Training and support are provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and supervision during CNA skills labs and clinical experiences
- Demonstrate and evaluate required nursing assistant skills
- Provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback to students
- Maintain accurate attendance, competency, and clinical documentation
- Support a positive and professional learning environment
- Work independently while collaborating with Allied instructors and leadership
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners and foster a positive learning environment.
- Energetic, engaging, and able to confidently lead groups of adult learners in both skills and clinical settings.
- Current Kansas LPN license in good standing (required)
- Minimum two years of experience supervising CNAs or nursing assistants (required)
- Long-term care experience required
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with adult learners
- Must be comfortable actively supervising students in clinical settings, including walking the floor, observing performance, providing feedback, and supporting student learning in real time.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional, responsive, and committed to supporting student success and program excellence.
Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20–30 hours per week.
Schedules vary based on class and clinical needs and primarily include evening and weekend hours. Candidates should be comfortable with a flexible schedule and consistent evening and weekend availability.
Pay
$25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.
