The Basics of a Branch Manager:

Status: Full-Time Exempt.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays from 8:30 AM–1:30 PM at our Mopac Branch (12319 N Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 8758).

Flexibility: Occasional hours outside of the regular schedule may be needed to support branch operations, organizational priorities, or community events.
What You'll do as a Branch Manager:
This role is responsible for leading, growing, and developing a branch that consistently delivers a top-tier member and employee experience. This role combines operational excellence with proactive relationship-building to achieve growth and member satisfaction goals. The Branch Manager serves as a catalyst for positive change, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with the Credit Union’s mission, vision, and core values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Member Leadership:

Attract, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing branch team through servant leadership and continuous coaching.

Reinforce the Credit Union’s mission, vision, and core values by serving as a culture champion who motivates team members to achieve excellence in service, sales, and performance.

Conduct regular coaching sessions focused on both service quality and consultative sales conversations to deepen member relationships.

Partner with each team member on professional development and career growth, providing clear guidance on opportunities for advancement.

Ensure all employees complete required training programs and demonstrate operational proficiency and member engagement excellence.

Oversee day-to-day supervisory responsibilities, including scheduling, performance management, and workflow coordination.
Branch Growth Leadership:

Drive branch performance through a relationship-based, consultative sales approach that focuses on identifying member needs, offering tailored solutions, and increasing share of wallet.

Translate organizational objectives into clear, actionable branch strategies with measurable performance outcomes.

Monitor and analyze branch performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Lending, Digital Services, etc.) to enhance member engagement and support branch growth initiatives.

Lead community involvement, business development, and financial wellness initiatives to expand the Credit Union’s reach and strengthen brand presence.

Promote a proactive, goal-oriented culture that celebrates individual and team achievements.
Branch Operations Leadership:

Oversee all operational aspects of the branch, ensuring compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional member service.

Maintain adherence to Credit Union policies, regulatory requirements, and security procedures, including cash handling, audit controls, and fraud mitigation.

Partner with internal departments to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the member experience and branch productivity.

Serve as a subject matter expert in fraud prevention, risk management, and operational compliance.

Ensure adequate staffing levels and workflow coverage through proactive scheduling and leave management.
-
Support complex member interactions by modeling sound judgment, empathy, and a solution-focused approach.
Other Duties:
-
Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.

Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.

Act as a Notary Public and perform Medallion Signature Guarantee service as needed.

Lead and delegate special projects as assigned.

Must Haves as a Branch Manager:

Skills Including: Networking, Coaching & Upskilling, Problem Solving, Verbal & Written Communication, Servant Leadership.

Experience: 2+ years of branch operations supervisory experience in a credit union or bank.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Haves as a Branch Manager:

Experience: 3+ years of branch operations supervisory experience in a credit union or bank.

Skills: Bilingual in Spanish & English.
