The Santa Clara County Office of Education is now accepting applications for Deputy Superintendent - Business and Operations.
Under the direction of the County Superintendent of Schools, the Deputy Superintendent – Business and Operations leads strategy, operations, and performance of the Business, Facilities & Operations Division of the County Office of Education and acts for, represents, and exercises the authority of the Superintendent as assigned. Hierarchically, the Deputy Superintendent – Business and Operations is the second-in-command of all Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) functions after the Superintendent.
This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months/260 days.
Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provided official documentation is submitted.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

Assessments and interviews will take place in-person.

Following the initial review date, the qualifications of candidates received to date will be evaluated.

The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for TBD.

Classified Personnel Services will establish an unranked eligibility list, which will terminate upon filling the position opening or after thirty (30) days, whichever comes first.

Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
