Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Custodian to join our team providing essential cleaning services for a US Veteran Affairs (VA) facility. This position focuses heavily on maintaining a safe, sanitized, and welcoming environment for our veterans and staff, with a primary focus on high-quality restroom maintenance and waste management.
Key Responsibilities
Restroom Sanitation: Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all restroom fixtures, sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and partitions using hospital-grade germicide.
Floor Care: Sweep and damp mop restroom floors daily (changing cleaning solutions between restrooms). Perform a deep floor scrub and grout cleaning once per week during the evening shift.
Stocking Supplies: Monitor and restock essential consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) without overstocking.
Waste Management: Empty, sanitize, and reline trash containers throughout designated areas. Dispose of trash in outside collection bins.
Detailed Dusting & Wiping: Clean doors, handles, kick plates, light fixtures, and ventilation grates to ensure areas are free of dust and streaks.
Compliance Tracking: Update and initial the physical cleaning schedule logs posted in each restroom after every service.
Requirements (Strictly Enforced)
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
Identification: Must possess a valid Passport OR a Washington State "Real ID" (Enhanced ID).
Reliability: Ability to work consistently during evening hours and follow strict sanitization protocols.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, tilt, or move light equipment/furniture as needed to clean underneath
Pay: $21.55 per hour
