We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, as this role may involve guiding new team members . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in retail sales, merchandising, and creating a positive experience.
Duties
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.
- Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for print projects using Adobe and Microsoft Suites for both Mac and PC
- Consistently follows up on production activity using various communication methods (telephone, email, etc.)
- Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment
- Presents concepts or ideas to clients
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and POS transactions
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift upto 50+ pounds
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Must be dependable, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
