Duties
- Work with our accounts receivable team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of medical claims and payments
- Analyze the revenue cycle process, from claim submission to payment posting and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and develop strategies for collection improvement
- Collaborate with clinical, billing, and coding departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance cash flow, reduce denials, and improve overall receivables performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections, days in accounts receivable, and resolution times to drive accountability
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance payers, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and problem resolution
Requirements
- Proven experience managing accounts receivable within a healthcare or medical billing environment
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance claims processing, coding standards (such as ICD-10, CPT), and healthcare regulations
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial software systems, Excel, and reporting tools
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, payers, and external partners
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare policies or billing requirements
