Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment for students, utilizing effective classroom management techniques, and implementing innovative curriculum development strategies. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to support the diverse needs of our learners.
Qualifications:
45 hours DCF Training is highly needed.
Passion for children.
CDA/ FCCPC certificate preferred.
Prior experience in a child care setting.
Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and respectful environment for all students.
- Provide individualized support for students with special needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or requiring speech therapy.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and promote literacy education among students.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Engage in early intervention practices to support childhood development and ensure all students reach their potential.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education, special education, and behavioral health.
- Keep parents updated with daily activities through our profile with Brightwheel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong background in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and toddler care practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math instruction, physical education teaching methods, and behavioral therapy approaches is beneficial.
- Previous involvement in curriculum development or lesson planning is a plus.
