Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Debt Consolidation Specialist to join our financial services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping clients manage and reduce their debt burdens through strategic consolidation solutions. Your expertise will guide clients through the debt relief process, ensuring they understand their options and achieve their financial goals. Duties
- Conduct outbound calls to explain debt consolidation options and gathering relevant financial information
- Engage with clients via phone using professional phone etiquette to assess their debt situation and provide tailored solutions
- Analyze client credit reports and financial data to determine eligibility for debt settlement and consolidation programs
- Utilize Clio system to track client interactions, update records, and manage follow-up activities
- Perform detailed debt settlement analysis, including evaluating client debts, interest rates, and repayment plans to recommend optimal strategies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable loan regulations, banking standards, and industry-specific financial regulations during client interactions
- Contact debt collectors to negotiate settlements
Skills
- Proven experience in customer support, or finance with excellent communication skills
- Strong phone etiquette and client communication skills to build trust and rapport quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and account reconciliation tasks
- Knowledge of credit analysis, debt settlement processes, and industry regulations governing financial services
- Ability to conduct thorough debt relief & consolidation assessments with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Clio system a plus (Will train if needed)
- Solid understanding of banking regulatory compliance, accounting principles, and financial concepts such as debits & credits
- Excellent negotiation skills to close sales effectively while maintaining compliance standards
- Experience with medical collections or industry-specific financial procedures is a plus but not required
