Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic at construction sites or other locations as assigned
- Ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and drivers by effectively managing traffic flow
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with team members and provide clear instructions regarding traffic control procedures
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust traffic control measures as necessary
- Report any incidents or issues to the appropriate authorities
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and information to team members and the public
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Attention to detail to ensure proper placement of traffic control devices
- Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
Please note that previous experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
