Position Summary
Round Lake Charter School is seeking a passionate, student-focused Instructional Teacher 4th grade for the 2026/2027 school year.
Our intermediate grades operate within a departmentalized instructional model, with teachers working collaboratively as a grade-level team and focusing on designated content areas. The specific grade level and instructional assignment will be determined based on the selected candidate’s certification, experience, strengths, and the needs of the school.
Potential teaching assignments may include:
- English Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies
- Reading, Mathematics, and Science
- Other departmentalized content-area combinations based on grade-level needs
While our intermediate grades are departmentalized, all classroom teachers are expected to teach and support reading instruction using the Success for All (SFA) curriculum as part of their assigned instructional responsibilities.
We are seeking an educator who values collaboration, builds positive relationships with students, and is committed to providing engaging, standards-aligned instruction that supports the academic growth and success of every student.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Florida academic standards and school curriculum
- Deliver reading instruction using the Success for All (SFA) curriculum and support literacy development across assigned content areas
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students
- Assess student progress and use student data to adjust instructional strategies and support student achievement
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and student growth
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with grade-level teammates, instructional staff, and school leadership
- Participate in collaborative planning, school-wide initiatives, and professional development
- Support school-wide expectations and contribute positively to the Round Lake Charter School community
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Florida teaching certification or eligibility for certification appropriate for the assigned grade level and/or content area
- Elementary teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of effective reading and literacy instructional practices
- Strong classroom management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a departmentalized grade-level team
- Commitment to student achievement and ongoing professional growth
