Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Present menus, make recommendations, and upsell specialty dishes and beverages to enhance guest experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks with precision, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and promptly address any concerns or special requests
- Manage cash handling, billing, and openTable reservations efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Extensive fine dining experience with a strong understanding of upscale service standards
- Proficiency in POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations gracefully
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Previous experience in restaurant settings such as nightclubs or high-end eateries is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling accurately
