American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) night shift position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Georgia, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Medical step-down / intermediate care unit (IMCU) in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center

Patient population includes Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy

Unit capacity of 16–20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Block scheduling is generally not approved

Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

No on-call requirements

Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required

Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, fast-paced, and high-volume patient care
