Job Summary:
This position is filled by a licensed, experienced clinician who will be in a part-time/independent contractor position facilitating group, individual, couples, and family therapy at The Neurodivergent Collective. Clients at our treatment center most commonly present with autism and/or ADHD in conjunction with mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD and adjustment disorders, compulsive disorders such as OCD, stressful life transitions, or may be stepping down from psychiatric hospitalization or transferring from another residential treatment program. This position is filled by a clinician who is well versed in empirically supported treatments and values neurodiversity as part of their treatment approach.
Responsibilities:

Assessments/Admissions/Intake

Conduct therapy sessions and enter relevant clinical notes in client’s electronic health record

Contribute to Treatment Team meetings and client’s treatment plan

Identify the need for psychological testing, collateral services, special medical services, etc.

All clinical notes will be documented within 24 hours

Therapist will keep up to date with modern advances in EBP’s they are trained in and ensure ongoing training to continue their relevance in the field

Therapist will follow community guidelines for confidentiality and client care

Therapist will attend staff meeting two or three times a year to continue collaborative, treatment team oriented communication and care

Therapist will conduct risk assessments as needed as guided by their clinical license

If a risk is assessed, clinicians are expected to notify the treatment team immediately
All direct care staff shall have graduated from high school or possess a GED and have a minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a
program serving persons with mental disabilities. Such experience must be in the direct provision of services to clients. If the employee does not have the required experience, the program shall document a specific plan of supervision and in-service training for the employee which will guarantee the ongoing qualification of the employee to perform the job. The plan should include but not be limited to the frequency and number of hours of training, the subjects to be covered, and a description of the supervision to be provided.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, occasionally lifting 30 or more pounds and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (ie. luggage). Must be able to walk, stoop, sit, stand, climb, stretch, reach, and possess finger/dexterity. Must be able to walk and work standing on feet up to 75% of the day. Must have a level of mobility necessary to meet patients’ needs.Quality of hearing (whether natural or with accommodation) must be acceptable due to frequent phone conversations with business representatives, potential clients, and families. They must exhibit the ability to display coping skills to handle multiple calls and duties. The risk of exposure to unpredictable situations (i.e., client behavior) exists.
Education/Experience/Skills Required:

Must have MSW, MFT, PhD, or PsyD

Be knowledgeable of neurodiversity and best practice for working with adults who are diagnosed with autism & adhd.
- Must have graduated from high school or possess a GED

Must be 18 years of age

Must have required drug screen and physical

Valid CPR/First Aid Certification

Valid TB test

Must have cleared background check

Ability to work with a multidisciplinary treatment team

Well versed in empirically supported treatment

Extensive experience providing individual, group, couples and/or family therapy

Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstance warrants such action.

Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
