Job Details:
- Shift Type = Days
- Shift Hours = 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Possible shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Assignment Length = 12 Weeks (04/26/2026 – 07/18/2026)
- Schedule = 40 hours per week
- On‑Call = Required (one weekend per month)
- Holidays = Not specified
- Patient Ratio = Varies by census and acuity

Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to support the inpatient Physical Therapy Department at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, CA. In this role, you will assist Physical Therapists in providing therapeutic interventions designed to restore patient mobility, function, and independence within an acute care hospital setting.
The PTA will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and patient‑centered physical therapy services during day shifts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience
- Current BLS certification
- Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Experience treating patients in an inpatient or acute care environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent communication, organization, and clinical skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training under PT supervision
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns
- Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately in the medical record
- Maintain safe treatment areas and properly use rehabilitation equipment
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary staff to support patient recovery
