Join our dynamic team as a Linehaul Weekend Driver with a CDL A license and become a vital part of our logistics network! This energetic role is perfect for experienced drivers who thrive on route driving, ensuring timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes, primarily during weekends. You’ll be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely using tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated and flatbed trailers, on over-the-road routes during weekends
- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper cargo handling and securing hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups across designated territories
- Transport freight such as refrigerated goods, freight, or hazardous materials while following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before hitting the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any unforeseen delays
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial truck driving
- Proven experience with delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation using tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance, and safety standards for truck driving
- Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or other specialized cargo equipment is preferred
- Ability to manually handle freight loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning and execution
- Must possess excellent driving skills with manual transmission experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends consistently and adapt to flexible schedules as needed
