Can you close a sale without making someone feel “sold”?
The best salespeople know that closing is not about pressure. It is about asking the right questions, understanding what matters, communicating value, and helping someone confidently make a decision.
At Reidy Law Office, you will use those skills with prospective family-law clients facing important decisions about their futures. You will conduct consultations, help prospective clients gain clarity about what they need, explain how our Firm may be able to help, address concerns and objections, and guide qualified prospects through the decision to hire the Firm.
We are looking for a proven salesperson who is comfortable discussing significant financial commitments, disciplined about follow-up, accountable to measurable results, and highly coachable. Legal experience is not required. Experience selling professional services or other higher-value products or services is particularly valuable.
This is an opportunity to join a growing law firm where strong performance can create a path toward future sales leadership.
Compensation:
$60,000 - $100,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled consultations with Prospective New Clients ("PNC") and ask effective questions to understand their goals, concerns, urgency, and decision-making factors.
Help PNC gain clarity about their situation and determine whether Reidy Law Office is the right fit for their needs, without providing legal advice.
Address objections professionally and ask qualified prospects to move forward when appropriate.
Follow up consistently with viable PNCs who are not ready to retain the Firm during the initial consultation so qualified opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including consultation notes, follow-up tasks, next steps, and pipeline status.
Coordinate new-client onboarding and complete required Client check-ins to ensure a clean transition from Sales to the legal team.
Track conversion, new-client production, follow-up activity, and other sales KPIs and take ownership of improving results.
Participate actively in sales coaching, role-play, call review, and training, and implement feedback when an approach is not working.
Qualifications:
Proven direct sales experience in which you were personally responsible for converting prospects into paying customers or clients is required. Legal sales experience is a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to discuss pricing, address objections, and confidently ask a prospect to make a purchasing decision.
Higher-ticket or consultative sales experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience involving purchases or commitments of approximately $5,000 or more.
Strong listening, verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to build trust and demonstrate empathy with people experiencing emotionally difficult situations while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Strong organization and follow-through, including experience using a CRM, sales pipeline, task system, or other structured method to manage prospects.
Results-oriented and comfortable working with measurable sales goals, conversion metrics, and individual accountability.
Highly coachable and able to receive direct feedback, make adjustments, and demonstrate improvement.
Average-to-above-average technology skills and the ability to learn new software and processes with reasonable independence.
