POSITION: Standby bus driver
DESCRIPTION: This position is for a Standby Driver. The driver will be expected to be the primary substitute for all routes and the first driver needed when there is a planned or emergency absence. When the driver is not needed on a route, the driver will be assigned other work, including but not limited to: dispatch, bus garage duties/maintenance, etc. Extra trip assignments as a bus driver will be permitted by contract. Hours may vary based on daily needs/work assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma; school bus driver certification; Air brake endorsement and “P” & “S” endorsements required.
WORK YEAR: All “student days” at 5 hours per day.
SALARY: According to the contract
