About the Role
Adventure City is looking for mechanically inclined individuals with at least 3 years of amusement rides maintenance experience or Industrial/automation equipment technician experience to join our Ride Mechanic/Facilities Maintenance Team. As a Ride Mechanic, you will be trained and certified to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and annual rehabilitation of a variety of amusement rides and attractions. Facility maintenance includes minor electrical repair, basic plumbing work and various handyman jobs.
Job Responsibilities (with training)
- Performing daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other required inspections of amusement rides and related equipment as assigned; taking corrective actions as issues are identified. (Note: Inspections are visual as well as auditory).
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance.
- Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devices.
- Maintaining accurate records of all required inspections and work performed.
- Able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary.
- Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.
- Working with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings and various mechanical equipment.
- General facility maintenance and repair.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Preferred minimum of 3 years of Amusement ride maintenance experience or Industrial/automation equipment technician experience.
- Teamwork & Attitude: Must have a positive attitude, communicate effectively, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
- Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and holiday periods.
- Screenings: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and be subject to drug screening.
- Physical Demands: Must possess the physical capability to safely perform various activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting from various heights on ride structures.
- Lifting Requirement: Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work Environment: Ability to work safely and comfortably outdoors in various weather conditions.
