Join our vibrant pet care team as a Dog Daycare Attendant, Canine Coach, and Dog Bather! In this dynamic role, you will be the heartbeat of our facility, ensuring dogs are happy, healthy, and well-cared-for while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. Whether you're guiding dogs through playing sessions or giving them a refreshing bath, your enthusiasm and dedication will make a positive impact on every furry guest.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs during day camp to promote safe play and socialization
- Assist in training dogs using positive reinforcement techniques to improve behavior and obedience
- Handle dog grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, trimming nails, and ear cleaning
- Restrain and handle dogs safely using proper animal handling and restraint techniques
- Monitor dog health and behavior; report any concerns or signs of illness to management or veterinary staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment
- Provide pet sitting services for clients’ pets when needed, ensuring their comfort and safety
Skills
- Experience in dog training or canine behavior management
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience preferred for understanding animal health needs
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Pet grooming skills including bathing, brushing, trimming nails, and basic grooming procedures
- Knowledge of animal care practices and pet sitting responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies) with proper technique
- Animal handling expertise combined with patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude
- This positions requires past experience working with groups of dogs in a pack environment, not your own.
- Must be 20 and over
- Must have references
- Must understand time management, multi tasking and working in a fast paced environment.
- Tardiness or absences will result in immediate termination.
