Senior Piping Designer – Water/Wastewater (Plant 3D)
Location: Atlanta, GA (also open to Greenville, SC)

ASAP is seeking a Senior Piping Designer for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients supporting innovative water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed piping design drawings for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Perform 3D modeling and piping layout using AutoCAD Plant 3D and related tools
- Create and review P&IDs, isometrics, and equipment layouts
- Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure accurate and coordinated designs
- Conduct model coordination and clash detection to support constructible solutions
- Support design from concept through construction, including field coordination as needed
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure quality control across deliverables
- Assist with troubleshooting design issues and optimizing layouts
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in piping design
- Experience working on water/wastewater treatment plants (WTP/WWTP) or similar process facilities
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D (required)
- Experience with 3D modeling, piping layout, and equipment integration
- Knowledge of P&IDs, isometrics, and process piping systems
- Experience with BIM/VDC coordination, clash detection, or multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools
- Familiarity with municipal infrastructure projects
- Field experience or construction support exposure
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
