Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admitting Representative to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive at our facility. The Admitting Representative will be responsible for managing patient admissions, reviewing documentation, and providing support throughout the patient intake process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and health information management experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and their families upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
- Review and verify patient documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize electronic health record systems.
- Assist patients in completing necessary forms related to admissions, care plans, and insurance details.
- Provide information regarding clinic services, appointment scheduling, and patient resources.
- Handle phone systems effectively to manage incoming calls related to patient inquiries and appointments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and care plans.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, with a focus on patient service.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
