Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Interior Painter to join our tiny home manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the final aesthetic finish of our custom-built homes. Because our spaces are small, precision and cleanliness are our top priorities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a controlled environment with innovative building techniques that contribute to sustainable and efficient housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Prep: Sanding, filling holes, and taping off trim, windows, and built-in furniture.
- Application: Applying primer, paint, and stains to interior walls, ceilings, and cabinetry.·
- Detail Work: Executing clean lines in tight corners and around custom fixtures.
- Finish Care: Inspecting surfaces for runs, bubbles, or thin spots to ensure a "luxury" feel.
- Maintenance: Cleaning sprayers, brushes, and maintaining a tidy workspace within the unit.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a painter, preferably in modular or prefabricated housing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Precision: Ability to paint around built-ins without getting drips on flooring or upholstery.
- Versatility: Experience with both brush/roller work and high-quality paint sprayers.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with low-VOC paints and various wood stains/sealants.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable working in confined spaces and on ladders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve construction issues effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Must have a valid state Driver’s License and personal vehicle insurance coverage
