Duties
- Perform comprehensive obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds, including prenatal, abdominal, breast, and gynecological imaging, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
- Operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines, echocardiography devices, and vascular technology diagnostics tools with precision and care.
- Apply medical terminology accurately while documenting findings in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results related to women's health diagnostics, vascular ultrasound imaging, and physiology assessments.
- Educate patients about procedures, address their concerns with clear communication skills, and provide compassionate patient care throughout the process.
- Keep abreast of advancements in diagnostic radiology, sonography techniques, and anatomy knowledge to continually enhance your skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures with a strong understanding of women's health and reproductive patient care.
- Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines, echocardiography devices, and vascular diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles relevant to OB/GYN sonography.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and PACS for efficient documentation and image management.
- Ability to perform breast ultrasound, gynecological ultrasound, prenatal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound imaging accurately.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members while maintaining professionalism.
- Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for sonographers or radiologic technologists is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training in Women's health diagnostics is highly valued.
- Commitment to maintaining aseptic technique standards and adhering to safety protocols during all procedures.
