As a Budtender, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, compliant, and engaging retail environment. From assisting customers on the sales floor to accurately checking IDs, supporting inventory counts, and helping maintain product accuracy, your attention to detail and positive attitude will directly contribute to the success of the store.

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assess their preferences to recommend suitable cannabis products and accessories.
Accurately check and verify customer IDs upon entry to ensure all guests meet state age and compliance requirements.
Educate customers on different strains, consumption methods, effects, product types, and proper usage to enhance their overall experience.
Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, order accuracy, and product upselling.
Maintain compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales, age restrictions, customer verification, and store procedures.
Conduct accurate product counts throughout the shift as needed, including sales floor counts, inventory checks, backstock verification, and product reconciliation.
Assist with daily inventory processes by ensuring products are properly counted, tracked, stocked, and accounted for at all times.
Conduct product demos and highlight new or featured products by explaining their unique qualities and benefits.
Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, rotating products, and ensuring strong product visibility.
Perform stock replenishment and support inventory management to help keep the sales floor organized, accurate, and customer-ready.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries and assisting customers, vendors, or team members.
Work as part of a motivated team to drive sales, increase customer loyalty, and create a positive store experience.
Skills
Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, customer service, grocery, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environments.
Ability to accurately check IDs and follow strict compliance procedures with confidence and professionalism.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions, cash handling, and inventory tracking.
Strong attention to detail when counting products, verifying inventory, and maintaining product accuracy.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, engage, and build trust with diverse customers.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stocking procedures, and retail best practices.
Excellent phone etiquette and a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and supporting product counts.
Supervising experience is preferred for future leadership opportunities within the team.
