Job Title: Container Dispatcher
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Savannah
Job Overview:
Kudzu Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Container Dispatcher to support local port and logistics operations in Savannah, GA. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, along with working knowledge of GPA operations and the Navis system.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and capable of coordinating effectively with drivers, customers, and terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch container movements efficiently
- Utilize the Navis system for scheduling and tracking
- Communicate with drivers, terminals, and customers regarding loads and scheduling
- Monitor container status and ensure timely movement of freight
- Maintain accurate records and dispatch documentation
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and operational updates
- Assist with resolving scheduling or operational issues as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of GPA operations and the Navis system required
- Previous dispatch or logistics experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
