Position Summary
Transnational Express is seeking a motivated and results-driven Bilingual Commercial Driver Recruiter to identify, attract, and hire qualified CDL commercial drivers. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, has experience with transportation recruiting, and is proficient in Tenstreet and McLeod Software. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a steady pipeline of qualified drivers while ensuring compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company hiring standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Source and recruit qualified CDL Class A commercial drivers through multiple recruiting channels.
- Conduct inbound and outbound recruiting calls.
- Screen applicants to determine qualifications and eligibility.
- Manage the complete recruiting lifecycle from initial contact through orientation.
- Utilize Tenstreet to process applications, communicate with applicants, and monitor hiring workflow.
- Maintain accurate applicant information within McLeod Software.
- Verify employment history, driving experience, and qualifications.
- Coordinate background checks, drug testing, MVR reviews, PSP reports, and pre-employment screening.
- Schedule interviews, road tests, orientation, and onboarding activities.
- Explain company policies, compensation, benefits, and job expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective drivers.
- Follow up with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Meet weekly and monthly recruiting goals.
- Attend job fairs and recruiting events as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations and company hiring policies.
- Prepare recruiting reports and hiring metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience; transportation or CDL recruiting preferred.
- Experience using Tenstreet.
- Experience using McLeod Software preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA hiring requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
