Qualifications
- Two years’ experience as a feed mill operator or like industry
- Time and task management abilities are also important as you must prioritize and complete multiple duties by their respective deadlines
- Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations
- Experience with feed mill management systems and software
- Good math and computer skills
- Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and dust
- Physical requirements: Climbing ladders and crossing catwalks, twisting, turning, bending, standing on uneven surfaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the mill is kept clean, including the area surrounding the mill
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks including greasing bearings, checking gearboxes, inspection/tightening of belts, etc. is performed
- Assist in repair and maintenance projects with maintenance
- Assist in maximizing the efficiency of the mill
- Filling micro ingredient boxes and cleaning out ingredient bins as needed
- Identify and address ingredient flow issues
- Manage complete feed orders onto trucks
- Ensure that you and others in the feed mill area adhere to company safety practices
- Receive organic byproduct ingredients into the mill - both bulk and bagged
- Conduct grading of ingredients received
Position
- 7 am to 7 pm both Saturday and Sunday
- Availability as needed for emergency situations
Compensation
- $28-$31 per hour based on past experience and qualifications
- Potential healthcare reimbursement of up to $400
- Up to 2 weeks paid vacation
