RH Direct Care Staff II
- Assists individuals in the home to maintain safe and healthy lives
- Provides constant supervision to persons in residential care
- Provides companionship, personal care, and all tasks associated with daily living skills
- Provides leadership and specific training activities that assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining or improving skills related to activities of daily living
- General household activities such as meal prep, laundry
- Vacuuming and routine cleaning
- Assists with medication administration
- Provides transportation to and from activities within the community and to paid waiver activities
- Focuses on personal hygiene skills, homemaking skills, and social and adaptive skills that enable an individual to reside in the community
- Behavior data tracking and completion
Work experience/Training requirements
Persons will qualify for RH Direct Care Staff level II if they have three or more years of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, have extensive training( behavior assistant, skills and implementation, prior experience as supervisory staff)
A person employed by Utopian Support Services DBA Great Expectations must have the following qualifications and capabilities: Drug-free and adhere to the agency – Drug-Free Workplace Policy. Must be 18 years or older, have one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or child care setting or with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must pass FBI Level 2 screening and have a valid driver’s license( if provider deems eligible to transport residents) Persons must be trained in the following within the first 30 days of employment- CPR, AIDS/Infectious control. Persons will attend – HIPAA, Medication Administration, Zero Tolerance, URI, and Core Competency training also within the first 30days of employment; Persons will also be trained and validated in areas of medication administration( if provider deems appropriate), disaster planning, choices, and rights, person-centered planning, fire safety, reactive strategy. Persons will continue to attend continuing education training throughout the year. –
Education requirements
- High school diploma or GED, transcript
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, College Credit accepted and substituted for some experience
- Ability to complete service documentation as required by the provider in accordance with the med waiver/budget handbook
- Behavior Assistant, Skills and Implementation Writing/Designing Certificates
Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
