About the Role
Be One Kind is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Cannabis Packaging & Label Machine Lead to oversee our packaging department and lead our daily production operations.
This is more than a machine operator position. We are looking for someone who can lead a team, drive productivity, ensure compliance, and take ownership of our packaging process from start to finish. The ideal candidate has experience in the regulated cannabis industry, understands METRC, enjoys coaching employees, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the packaging department.
- Ensure the packaging team meets daily production goals and productivity quotas.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and oversee the daily operation of automated labeling equipment.
- Train, coach, and supervise additional label machine operators and packaging staff.
- Onboard and train new employees on packaging procedures, equipment operation, quality standards, and company SOPs.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure all products are packaged accurately and meet Be One Kind's quality standards.
- Verify all product labels are accurate and compliant before products leave production.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout the packaging department.
- Coordinate production schedules with cultivation, fulfillment, inventory, and compliance teams.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
METRC & Compliance Responsibilities
- Utilize METRC daily to retrieve product information required for compliant labeling.
- Verify THC/CBD potency, batch numbers, harvest information, package tag numbers, use-by dates, and other required compliance information.
- Ensure all packaging and labeling complies with Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and packaging documentation.
Inventory Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain inventory of packaging supplies, labels, tubes, jars, bags, and other production materials.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation of finished goods and packaging materials.
- Help identify shortages and communicate inventory needs before they impact production.
QualificationsRequired
- Previous experience in the regulated cannabis industry.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience operating packaging or labeling equipment.
- Working knowledge of METRC.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Must have an active Colorado MED Occupational License.
Preferred
- Experience with inventory management.
- Experience training employees.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot labeling equipment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
