Duties
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in using salon software.
- Support stylists by preparing workstations, sanitizing tools, and ensuring all salon areas are clean and organized according to sanitation standards
- Assist with hair styling tasks including hair extensions, hair threading, eyelash extensions, and basic makeup application under supervision
- Manage retail sales by recommending products like hair care, nail care items, or styling tools; upsell effectively to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue
- Handle front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, and maintaining client records with strong communication skills
- Support store management in inventory management and retail math to ensure stock levels are optimal for daily operations
- Aid in training new team members through mentoring opportunities and contribute to creating a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of hair extensions, color theory, straight razor techniques, and nail care is a plus
- Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY or similar systems for scheduling and client management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Basic understanding of sanitation practices related to hair styling tools, nail care, and overall salon hygiene standards
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling and inventory purposes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
