Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate cook to join the fast-paced Ritz Team. Seeking efficient, friendly, hygienic and professional team members. A year-round position, there is room to grow with The Ritz with regards to pay and promotion. We are flexible with scheduling and looking to hire BOTH full & part time positions.
Summer is peak tourist season in our area, so expect plenty of hours in our fast-paced, busy and customer service oriented lakeside bar& restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting, and possess a strong understanding of food preparation and handling. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items (grill, pizza oven, salads) according to established recipes and standards in an efficient and fast manner. We like to have our food coming out in a reasonable amount of time.
- Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and special dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
- Help maintain equipment in good working condition through regular cleaning and maintenance.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to create innovative dishes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively work within a team-oriented kitchen environment.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality food service.
