Growing private practice Optometry office seeks emotionally mature, outgoing, pleasant individual for Optometric Assistant/ Optician position. Duties will include but are not limited to: patient pretesting, patient check in and check out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and limited optical selling. Comfort with computers and multitasking is a must. Pretest duties will include history, autorefractor, IOP measurement, visual field testing, acuity measurement, depth perception testing, color vision testing,contact lens insertion and removal training sessions, and corneal topography. The ideal candidate will be able to plug themselves into any position in the office when called upon. However, we are willing to train the right person if they have a exceptional personality and can learn quickly. We are looking for a long term hire as our patients love seeing the same faces year after year. Hours are 37-40 hours per week with limited evenings.
