Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support food handling procedures in compliance with food safety standards to ensure guest safety and product quality.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions.
- Help with serving guests efficiently, taking orders, and delivering food with a friendly attitude.
- Contribute to banquet setups and catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with service logistics.
- Support cooking tasks under supervision, learning culinary techniques and kitchen workflows.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock items.
- Engage in guest services by providing friendly communication and addressing customer inquiries professionally.
- Support hospitality efforts by creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members alike.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros will be advantageous.
- Banquet or hotel kitchen experience can be a plus for supporting large-scale events.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this lively setting.
- Prior kitchen experience or culinary training is beneficial but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to develop their skills!
