Job Summary
As a Host, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a lively and positive atmosphere for every guest. Your energetic and friendly demeanor will ensure guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. You’ll manage reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Your role is vital in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience, ensuring smooth operations and a warm environment that encourages guests to return time and again.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems or reservation software
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize table utilization while maintaining guest comfort
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host station area to uphold food safety standards
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu items or restaurant policies, delivering excellent customer service
- Support the team during busy periods by managing guest flow and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with customer service principles
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety management to uphold health standards
- Experience using POS systems or reservation management software is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with an energetic approach to guest interactions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
