Position Title: LEA Project ManagerLocation: SAU #3Job Status: Full Time, Grant Funded Salary Range: $70,756 - $96,136Supervision: This position is directly under the Office of the Superintendent. This position may be responsible for supervision of a project assistant.SCOPE OF WORK: To oversee and manage the Safe and Supportive Schools grant at the LEA level, including the financial and operational administration of the grant for the school district. This position will develop a data-driven comprehensive plan for services and strategies with school, district, and community partners driven by NHs Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health & Wellness (MTSS-B) framework as well as the values and principles of a system of care. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and sustainability of all project objectives and activities, including: Developing a collaborative partnership with the local trauma-informed community mental health center (CMHC) to develop and provide screening, referral, and treatment support services to students and their families; Focusing on sustainable financing, cross-agency collaboration, the creation of policy and infrastructure, and the development and implementation of evidence-based and evidence-informed services and supports to improve mental health outcomes for youth effected by trauma and their families.ACCOUNTABILITIES (Duties and Responsibilities): Manage the LEA budget and program implementation of project activities.
Act as a conduit between the LEA and NHED, evaluators, and the community mental health center (in concert with their School Liaison) through regular communication and attendance at meetings, trainings, workshops, etc. Serve as a member of district administration with a regular presence on school teams. Assist in process for selecting evidence-based programs, policy/procedure revision, long-term strategic planning, etc. Specifically: o Oversee the development of a District/Community Leadership Team (DCLT) and identify its members/partners.
Facilitate regular meetings of this team.o In consultation with the DCLT and NHED, conduct annual comprehensive planning process to inform Action Plan. Review annually.o Serve as a member of each schools building leadership team to regularly interact with tiered teams. Collect and report district data as required by project evaluators. Ensure services provided are family-driven, youth-guided, culturally competent, and developmentally appropriate, as well as data-driven.
Serve as a primary champion of the MTSS-B framework in the district and its community(ies)PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Masters degree from a recognized college or university with major study in education, special education, counseling, mental health, substance abuse, or juvenile justice.Experience: Four years professional experience in education, special education, counseling, mental health, substance abuse, or juvenile justice; two years must be relevant experience in the community, with responsibility for program implementation, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of education.PREFERRED PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal, written, and technological skills to work with diverse children, youth, families, co-workers, cross-agency stakeholders, and members of the public. Desire and ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Bilingual proficiency is desirable.
Experience with minority or underserved populations is desirable. Strong facilitation skills; comfort with training, teaching, and public speaking. Strong knowledge of education and mental/behavioral health systems and trauma-informed care. Appreciation for both direct service in youth education and mental/behavioral health as well as strategic planning and systems change.
Demonstrable understanding of and commitment to MTSS-B framework and system of care core values. Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines.
