Position Title: Shop Mechanic, Equipment Operator & Irrigation Technician
Reports to: Operations Manager
Overall Responsibilities include: Tillage and planting with a modern fleet of equipment; well and pivot repair, along with various other tasks depending on the season. Normal hours are Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain and repair field and irrigation equipment
- Communicate and coordinate with farm manager regarding work flow scheduling and field preparation
- Ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment
- Other duties as required and assigned
Skills & Attributes:
- Have large tractor driving experience with modern implements
- Experienced following a preventive maintenance plan on multiple types of equipment
- Are comfortable with longer hours involved in peak season farming operations
- Have knowledge of basic electrical trouble shooting
- Are willing to learn
- Dependable and able to prioritize competing priorities
- Acute attention to detail
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
