Motivate and train a team of sales associates in a fast-paced, high-energy environment focused on crushing volume goals across new and used motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and more from leading brands like Yamaha, CFmoto, Husqvarna, GasGas, and premium pre-owned inventory. Strictly enforce the PPS value add sales process with intensity and consistency to maximize front-end gross, back-end profits (F&I, parts, accessories, warranties), and overall unit throughput. Ensure every deal complies with dealership policies while delivering exceptional customer experiences that turn buyers into loyal advocates. We're seeking a proven winner who loves to compete, hit big numbers, and lead a team to dominate the West Michigan powersports market.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all sales operations for new and used vehicles in a high-volume, fast-moving dealership environment.
- Drive the Sales Department to achieve aggressive gross margin, net profit, and unit volume targets through disciplined leadership and daily performance tracking.
- Enforce strict adherence to the PPS sales process; monitor and track daily results using dealership CRM and other tools to coach for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance, Service, Parts, and other departments to streamline the sales process and boost overall profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, high-impact facility and showroom that showcases a diverse, accessory-loaded inventory to attract and excite customers.
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and hold accountable a team of sales professionals; set realistic yet challenging quotas based on individual skill levels and performance
- Review leads multiple times daily; use them as coaching opportunities to elevate team skills and close rates.
- Manage oversight of sales, trade-ins, inventory control, and timely delivery of all new and used vehicles.
- Develop and maintain systems for new/used inventory management, profit objectives, and balanced stock levels aligned with current and projected sales velocity
- Keep the showroom dynamic with a variety of vehicles, accessories, and eye-catching displays that draw in traffic and highlight brand strengths (e.g., Yamaha's full lineup, CFmoto value, Husqvarna/GasGas performance dirt bikes and more).
- Enforce immediate, courteous customer greetings, rapid phone handling, thorough qualification, and professional road test/pre-delivery processes.
- Handle customer concerns with empathy, urgency, and a commitment to "make it right" per dealership policy.
- Execute a daily Sales Manager Checklist and follow-up rigorously on all leads per PPS procedures.
- Assist GM/owner with planning and execution of promotional campaigns to drive traffic and volume.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to ownership; collaborate on monthly/annual departmental objectives.
- Create and manage departmental schedules to balance workloads and ensure coverage during peak times.
- Partner with HR on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and performance management (including termination when needed).
- Deliver comprehensive training to sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, compliance, and profit maximization.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall dealership success.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Powersports Sales: 5 years (Preferred)
- Powersports Sales Management: 2 years (Preferred)
