Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patients’ vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any irregularities promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially for those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments; group home or nursing home experience highly valued
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement
- Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; certification preferred but training available on the job
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; comfortable using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> lifts
- Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with attention to safety protocols and detailed documentation

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
