Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, quick service, and casual dining environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service, and team performance.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, supervising staff performance, and conducting interviews for hiring new team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and menu development to meet business goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or casual dining restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on staff training, team management, and leadership in a hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling in both casual dining and fine dining environments.
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and develop team members through training & development initiatives.
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality management preferred; hotel or banquet experience is a plus.
