The MISA Traffic team is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Coordinator up to Traffic Supervisor level in our Long Beach, CA office. This position will provide customer support to business divisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies, allocates and posts details of business transactions (contracts, delivery orders, invoices, etc.) to appropriate accounts in SAP. Compiles, sorts and files documents substantiating business transactions in Electronic Folders. Issues documents to accounts department for posting and runs payment proposals.
- Arranges warehousing and transportation. May negotiate rates with freight forwarding companies and tracks deliveries/shipments to ensure timely arrival of goods in compliance with import/export regulations. Prepares shipping documents for customs clearance.
- Tracks and maintains inventory levels, purchasing, shipping, or other records by compiling data from contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and accounting records. Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. Report inventory increase or shortage.
- Manages material receipts from mills, reconciles inventory held at processor/warehouse, track purchasing, shipping, or other records by compiling data from contracts, purchase orders, invoices and accounting reports.
- Coordinates any claims or complaints with insurance company, processor, and/or supplier.
- Contacts customers/suppliers frequently to answer questions, resolves general problems, and provide/receive general information.
- Maintains vendor/customer accounts ensuring timely payment and receipt of invoices via SAP/excel. Effects payment to vendors (trucking, duty, inland freight, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Customer service experience required, including the ability to recognize and satisfy customer requirements and expectations in daily business. Logistics related knowledge preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to using integrated accounting and material management software. Experience with SAP preferred. The ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, organizational skills, and computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant experience

PAY RANGE:
Senior Traffic Coordinator: $35.00 - $37.00 hourly rate
Traffic Supervisor: $65,000 - $70,000 annualized base salary
Req Benefits:
Hourly rate or annual base salary determined by experience and work location.
Non-exempt roles are required to receive time-and-one-half overtime for time worked in excess of 40 hours in a calendar week. Any time worked between 35 hours and less than 40 hours in a work week will be compensated at straight time (the current hourly rate) unless otherwise required by applicable law.
